Rochester is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Rochester follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I’m giving playground camp at Ivan green a 2 stars because my child has reported MANY things the counselors have done/said. 1, they yell at kids or have an attitude when they have a question, 2, rude to kids (saying they suck at throwing, etc) 3, and I find this one absolutely outrageous, they made all the girls (from pre k to grade 8) clean the girls bathroom! because there was water and dirt on the floor WHICH kids were trying to tell the counselors that another camp there did it, there was witnesses, yet they still made them clean it. I suggest you get counselors that actually like kids and aren’t rude to them, because why would you hire counselors if they are sarcastic, rude, and genuinely don’t like kids ? Not to mention kids with anger issues making the fun playground and field an unsafe place for my children to play. DO BETTER .

I'd love to join, but the hours are absolutely horrendous. What does quality matter if it's basically inaccessible? Also, why do residents have to pay to join? Are our taxes not high enough??

This used to be the Irondequoit Mall/Medley Center Mall. I wonder what kind of elevators are here.

Irondequoit Rec is very disconnected from community engagement and more interested in holding personal grudges against members of the community, whom dedicate their time volunteering in youth organizations. It's shocking that people who receive no compensation care more about developing the community's youth into great young men and women than the people who get paid to do so. They present themselves with an overall poor attitude, do not want to address adults directly and would rather be keyboard warriors hiding behind uninformed emails, and act as if they'd be happier with an empty building rather than one that actively engaged in community development. The director of the rec department should be ashamed of the way this organization is ran after all of the money that was spent to create the new space, they are missing many opportunities to capitalize on true community development. If there was an option for less than 1-star I would have selected that.
